DIPLOMA OF WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY
Local government employees who coordinate and maintain the Work Health and Safety (WHS) program in an organisation.
It reflects the role of practitioners who apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.
Identify key elements of governance in council, develop awareness of managing people performance issues, better understand budget preparation in council and develop the ability to review HR policies and procedures within council.
Provide quality and timely advice to council by enhancing their managerial, coordination and planning skills.
This course is intended to build your work health and safety skills for coordination and advisory roles to provide guidance and support to others in a wide range of organisation's and industries.
On successful completion of your course and all assessments, you will receive a Nationally recognised qualification outlining the course completed and the units within that course.

Have a minimum of 2 years’ employment, working within the work health and safety related area or another area of a council where your responsibilities relate to Work Health and Safety.
Have 12 months’ experience in a similar related position in the private or government sector.
All core units in BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent competencies. Equivalent competencies are predecessors to the following units which have been mapped as equivalent:
Qualification/Statement of Attainment must be provided as proof of competency for the prerequisite units.
The qualification requires an underlying level of English language and literacy.
|Our instructor-led Diploma provides participants with interactive sessions including group discussions, case study reviews, question and answer sessions. Our training course includes all course training materials, assessment and mentoring/assistance by your allocated trainer.|
DURATION & LOCATION
|Our standard structure for this course is six (6) full days to be completed over a period of six months and can be delivered in any metropolitan or regional area of Queensland.|
