AUDIENCE

Local government employees apply integrated technical and theoretical concepts in a broad range of contexts to undertake advanced skilled duties in a government investigations environment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Identify key elements of governance in council, develop awareness of managing people performance issues, better understand budget preparation in council and develop the ability to review HR policies and procedures within council.

Provide quality and timely advice to council by enhancing their managerial, coordination and planning skills.

This course is intended to support candidates to promote the values and ethos of public service and comliance with legislation in the public sector. 

On successful completion of your course and all assessments, you will receive a Nationally recognised qualification outlining the course completed and the units within that course.

PRE-REQUISITES
 

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ full-time employment, working within local government.
  • The qualification requires an underlying level of English language and literacy.

DELIVERY

Our instructor-led Diploma provides participants with interactive sessions including group discussions, case study reviews, question and answer sessions. Our training course includes all course training materials, assessment and mentoring/assistance by your allocated trainer.

DURATION & LOCATION

Our standard structure for this course is six (7) full days to be completed over a period of six months and can be delivered in any metropolitan or regional area of Queensland.
